Does anyone here know if a forklift mast can be mounted on the back of a F4000? A friend, a used farm machinery dealer, suggested that it could be mounted on the three-point hitch, but I kind of have my doubts about putting that much weight on the hitch. I could see building some heavy brackets and mounting it right to the axle housing. Was wondering if anyone has done anything like that. Thank you.

I just recently saw a couple of forklift masts converted to 3-point for sale on Lou. craigslist.
Here are the links:

So it has been done I just don't know how well they work. Wink

If your going try to do this some serious consideration should be made on a front conterweight to compensate for the mast and the load weight you are lifting.
