Last summer my 1862 began giving me starting problems. Would crank over good, with good spark but would not fire. Leave set, and later it would start right up. Then it would just quit running while mowing. Cranked good with good spark but would not start. Tried several thing. Replaced coil, plugs, checked vaccumn fuel pump, fuel filter, finaly found exhaust valves out of adjustment. Improved starting but not completely right yet . Positive battery cable didn't look right so I replaced it. Starts like a new mower now. Would never have thought it to be the cable with good spark and cranking over well.
