This is the D that's sat in the same place as long as I've been around. I have always wanted to fix something up from the bottom to the top but I'm not sure if I really want this one to be my candidate...... Missing the mag and carb, i'm sure I can find a carb, but i know the mags are hard and expensive to get. Not only that, but the connecting rod cover is rusted open so that's full of water. I am very surprised though that the tranny still goes into gear. All of the detends work and the spring even works to spring it back to neutral.

I no more than stepped out of the car and this was what came after me....

i didn't even think of the fire thing. That does explain the tires, the half of a spark plug, and I suppose the brass petcocks could have melted off as well. The owner was not home today. It's been sitting there for about 20 years now and I've always wondered about it. I want to pick up a D, but after looking at this one, I think it's better as a lawn decoration, sadly enough.

Hello Reese92PA,

Thanks a lot for the photos !
It's a pity about the poor tractor, but it makes no sense to put much money in it.
It would be a different story if it would be a Spoker. :geek:

Yeah the spoker and possibly the depression D would be worth putting a much larger amount into; like You i dunno bout this one.

I haven't even thought about this to be honest. I'm piling up more projects faster than i can complete them. I have the 350 currently, John Deere A next, then my super MD and I might even have a john deere G on the way so I'm pretty deep in projects. I wouldn't mind this one too much if I could find the rims I need and good sheet metal. Even thought the rears are holey, I can patch that (pretty ambitious I suppose), but being an older model I'm not sure about parts availability? specially the carb and mag. Any help with suggestions?
