Over the weekend I bought a 1950 B from an estate sale. Tractor has been restored. It is a 6volt system. Lights work but I can not find an on off switch to turn power on to start engine. There isn't one on the dash area where the gauges are nor on the tree where steering wheel is mounted. This is my first antique Tractor and I really don't know anything about it.

Take a look at the DISTRIBUTOR (WICO) AND IGNITION LOCK diagram below.

Mode of transport Motor vehicle Line Font Engineering

Note in the title of the diagram Tractor Serial No. B268820- ).

All Model B tractors with serial no. 268820 and above will have an ignition switch.

Note the light switch to ignition switch lead (Key 44), ignition switch (Key 45), Yale key (Key 46), and ignition switch to distributor lead (Key 47).

Take a look at the table below.

If the serial no. on your Model be is above 258204 and below 268820, then your tractor will not have an ignition switch on the distributor.

If the serial no. on your Model be is 268820 and above, then your tractor should have an ignition switch on the distributor.

Hope this helps.
