This is my wife's '50 Packard. It's a real road beast and weighs over 4700 pounds but gets pretty good mileage. It has a 327 ci flathead straight-8 in it with an Ultramatic automatic transmission which has a lockup torque converter in it.
It's always fun when I'm around a bunch of Chevy nuts to let it drop in the conversation that I've seen a car with a flathead 327 in it and watch the reaction.
