I have a JD 40 standard. Recently I was using and it started missing and not running smoothly. I keep coming back to that it is a fuel problem but can't seem to correct. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated
Those tractors are notorious for burning through points and fouling the plugs at a low put-put speed. I would probably replace the plugs, and check and see if points are burned, if my fuel flow seemed okay. water in the fuel can cause that too. Check the distributor cap and rotor button, plug wires, ect. for burning, cracks and moisture.
