yep.. that pin sets in a groove in the shifter assy.

check out your explode dparts digram to see a pic of it.

for sure a straight forward fix.

ps.. pulling hte trans top is no biggie either.. just shift both sticks to neutral and disconnect the wires for the NS switch and carefuly pry it up. there may be a locating spring inthe rear.. but it should stay put..
