Wendell that story needs published. Have to admit I teared up reading it maybe because thinking of my grandpas and looking at the pictures and the way he took care of it it was plain to see how much he loved it. I say fix it to suite yourself. It looks plenty good the way it is and if you want it shiny thats good to after all thats what he was doing every time he painted it. Really enjoyed the story and wished you had rambled a little more I was enjoying it. Gordon.
