Hi All,

I live in Skagit County, Washington, USA. Today I am picking up a free Case VAC from one of my wife's friends through a local moms group. What an unexpected blessing! It's actually in pretty good shape. The gal's dad just has one too many projects and wants to see this one move on to the next guy. It's coming with a spare engine and a plow attachment that I also plan to restore. Talking to the owner, I guess he purchased it in running condition 3 years ago and the spare engine also turned over at that time. I'm not super mechanically minded, but I appreciate the simplicity and workability of the old VAC's from what I've seen online.

My plan is to disassemble, clean and paint the various parts and components as I work them and to end up with a nicely restored working tractor. We might not use it for row crops, but it will definitely see some use dragging logs around our mountain homestead.

Hello and welcome.
Those old Case are pretty straightforward and as easy to work on as any tractor.
Free is about as good as it gets.
