Anyone ever seen one of these or know any details on it?

I seen one that was similar if not the same off an 8n. It worked off cables. I bought a bunch of implements from the guy who had it. I took a quick look at it but didn't make an offer on it because I had no interest. With all the rocks I have at my place I barely use the auger I have and without a reverser trans it looks like once you get that baby stuck it's going to be hard to get out.
I was pressed for time so I really didn't get into the operation of it so I don't have any info on it. Probably could have picked it up for scrap price. All the other implements were reasonably priced.

Could that possible been used for well drilling? Never seen one set up on a tractor.
