OK, got a question. Does the rope type seal go into the same slot as the 2 piece??? I see a second larger slot next door and don't know what its for?? The 2 dot slot is where the 2 piece was.
Also I've been told to leave about an 1/8" sticking out but the book says to trim them flush????
Hopin to get this done tonight......................... Thanks

Got the rope seal in yesterday. I've got a friend who's been into Ford's for ages. He's been on vacation but I finally was able to track him down. That part is all done now. Colin is working on the cylinders and pistons. I think he said the head would be done by mid week. Also got a note that our new loader pump should be here by weeks end. I've already got the new control valve for the loader. Just have to put it on. Its moving along pretty good.

Sorry Mike :? :? The rope seal does go in the same (smaller-2 dot) slot as the 2 piece was. Also the manual is correct on trimming it flush with the block. He also told me to put a dab of permatex on the ends where I trimmed it. Helps to assure a good seal. Didn't want to bug him too much while on vacation. If I remember next time I see him I'll ask what that other slot is for...........

Got your plow all painted up yet

Somehow I knew there would be a logical (excuse) reason behind it.

Here we go. Just a little behind on the up dates again. Got home from work on Tuesday, to fined that Dad and Cody, all ready had the engine back on the tractor, Then I started putting the tractor back toghter. Between tuesday and tonight, I made two trips to Autozone, and one to the gas station, and now she is running.

We picked up a P/S belt that was a half inch shorter to give us a tad more clearance. Don't think we can go any shorter. Great advice. The lid was actually touchin the tin before he took it apart. We'll have to see how it looks with the new belt.

What an exciting time for you Colin to hear it running and sounding well.
Good luck on getting it all back togather .and getting it to work for you.
