What size are the rear tires on an 8n?
I ran into a set of chains at an auction for $5 wondering if they will fit my 4 cyl 2000

11.2 X 28 on the 8n
Standard Ag model tires on the 2000 were 12.4 X28 with optional 13.6 X 28
They might fit or you may have to add some chain links to make them fit.

Thanks, I do't even have it running yet. I will restart the topic as soon as I get the chance
I don't know what I need chains for anyway, but for $4.00 I couldn;t pass them up.

Heck for that price you can stick them in a box and hang them on the tractor for weight if you don't put them on the tires. At $4. the guy who dragged them up to the auction couldn't have been pleased and to boot the auction house took their cut. He would have done better at the scrap yard, it's a shame to say. At least you'll get to use them and if not in a bad winter they are no problem to sell. You'll recoup the $4 and then some.

ditto that. 4$ i wouldn't care what they fit. if nothing else they are weight.. if they fit a 11.2-28, they can be made to fit 12.4-28 easy enough.

It was an estate auction, they should be real pleased at what most of the stuff brought.
There were a few deals though.
