When did ford go to the side distributer on the 8n?
there is one up for auction Saturday.
I think it is an early one (front dist)

1950, best I can remember. ;) I had a '48, Dad had a '49, both were front mount.

I didn't buy it, someone liked it better.
I'll find one. I did buy 2 allises on the way home.
I'll post pics when I get the other one home.
I still need to post last weekends auction treasures.

Orange ones pretty comon up here.
I would rather have the side dizzy model just for the steering. I have a '49 with a '49 block with a side dizzy that the PO converted. Wish he would have switch the steering box. You could make a half of turn before the tire moved.

the old style steering boxes turn just as good as the late. all it requires is maintenance. both are rebuildable. :) late style is just a lil easier to adjust. :)
