Abandon trestle along an abandon stretch of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road. Line was opened in the 1850's, abandoned in the 1920's

I loved to walk the old rail lines near home growing up. There were a lot of good fishing holes at those crossings. The trains came out of Independence to Valsetz and went near our farm. I would get on when they crossed the highway and ride up, then walk back down, about 14 miles by rail. Usually slept the night along the way and fished my way out. Those little cutthroat tasted so good. The rails are gone, they took down the trestles if the early 70's. All that is left is the concrete from the newer ones. The railroad owns the railbed but it is all grown up now....James
Luke that doesn't look like it is in bad shape .. Thanks for sharing that pic.

Love the picture. Would enjoy fishing under that trestle.
Man that looks in great shape to be abandoned that long.

Beautiful scenery

Very pretty picture. Would love to have some crawdad tails or a helgamite and throw up in there and just hang on.
