Jerome Increase Case 1819 to 1891, founder of the J.I. Case Company. Receiving news that one of his thresher machines was not working. Infuriated by the fact that he could not fix the machine himself, he set it ablaze the next day, and sent the owner a brand new thresher machine upon return to Wisconsin.

Ha ha, I've had moments when I wanted to set machinery ablaze.

The info i havee read stated that Case intended for His customer to have a product that would live up to Case claims; even if it took going to the extremes. Mot many companies today will back their claims.

Read about that years ago......makes you think he was determined not to have anyone say anything bad about his creations..
