neighbour rented 330hp john deere with heavy disc to break up part of farm never been broke up brfore told me today 26 gal per hour $ 1200 aday for fuel

Wow I couldn't imagine that in my wildest dream. That's almost what I spend for a whole year of farm fuel and heating oil. :shock:
dad's case ih 260 goes threw about 12 gallons an hour, seems like alot but when you can cover 10+ acres an hour with the feild finisher its cheaper to run then the old ones. we've done up to 130 acres in one day already
Thats a whole other league of farming right there. Hard for me to wrap my head around but its untelling how many acres he doing also.
Yup. Horsepower = more fuel. One of these days you'll see tankers following tractors across the field..... :shock: :lol: :lol:

he said approx 60 acres 150 an hour to rent tractor and disc
