Grease your Trunion

324 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Travis C
Trunion broke on the back side of a 3070 Ferguson. 3000 hours probably never seen grease. Welded up and ready to go. Farmer stopped by and after looking at it he said he was going home and grease his 3070 . He had never seen the fitting. What"s worse is his has 9000 hours. Soon as I can get a day I will grind the extra weld off and reinforce. This was a woods patchup. Automotive tire Motor vehicle Plant Automotive exterior Bumper

Unfortunately, those trunnion bearings under the front of many different brands and models have been the most neglected bearings on a tractor throughout history. Myself included. That's the first I have seen the gudgeon actually snap in two rather than just wear into an oblong. Though I'm sure it's not the first that ever has.
