Hello all.
I have by accident come accross an old MF35 Tractor (Thanks to my Wifes Horses).
I know a fair ammount about vehicle mechanics (i maintain my Landrover) so have a range of suitably sized tools, grease gun etc.
The serial number plates are worn / corroded so i know little about its age or precisly which model it is, it has the 3 cylinder diesel engine.
My intention is to get the old girl running and use it as intended, chain harrowing the fields & a topper if i can source one for it.
I can't see it being resotred to concourse condition but i want to preserve it.
Currently it needs an exhaust, precleaner pipe, filters, fuel and a battery.
I am intending to do the minimum and attempt to fire it up. Assuming it starts and appears to run then change the oil etc.
there are some pictures here ... http://photobucket.com/jonmf35
We are located just outside Bath in the U.K.
Not being an expert or having ever driven a tractor i am sure i will have plenty of questions to ask as soon as its dry enough to get started on this little project.
Jon.
