I resently found a nice little BF for sale and was wondering if i could get some help on identifying it.

I see they are the same as a Avery R and also there are BFW's, BFD's, BFH's and BFS's how do i tell the difference between all of these?

The one im looking at has a wide front, is yellow, (not sure if all the avery ones were red) and has char- something power steering. Also is the powersteering factory?

Thanks
Taylor

All the Avery models will have a serial # starting with Rxxxxxxxx. Avery's were red, moline's were prairie gold. A lot of Avery R's were painted prairie gold after the buyout. The serial # is located near the gear shirt on the right frame rail. It is stamped in the frame. Some of the late ones may have a tag.

Another easy way to tell a R from a BF is the hydraulic system. The R uses a pesco unit that is mounted by the engine on the front right and hooks to the push/pull lever. The BF has the hydraulic tank in front of the battery location.

BFW-Wide front
BFS-Single front wheel
not sure about the BFD and BFH

I am not sure about the power steering either. All the ones I have seen and currently own don't have power steering. Hope the information I have has helped you.
