Caseman called me a month before one of his tractor shows in Kencuky. He said, "Can you go pick up Mrs. H and her husband at the airport?" I inquired where and he told me Kentucky. Now this doesn't sound like a strange request to you, but I live in Texas. We started out on our trip a couple of days early, dropped off the RV and Tractor at the cabin and jumped in our suburban we keep in Kentucky and took off to the airport.
Friends and family asked if we knew her, if we knew what she looked like and how would we know her at the airport, and if we felt strange inviting someone to stay with us we didn't know. All I know is Caseman man had asked (sorta told) me to go get them.
Mrs. H and her husband came down the excalator and Bob and I knew immediately it was them. They had a scared and excited look on their face. As it would turn out, their family and friends had been asking them the same questions.
Mrs. H's husband discovered that when he asked for biscuits, they weren't what he thoght they were. He soon learned to love Kentucky country cooking. They went fishing and we drove them around to look at the country. Soon it was time to go to the Tractor show. It didn't take long for Mrs. H and her husband to meet and become friends with every one. I would look up and they would be driving a tractor. I would look up again and they would be eating Ky fried chicken. Then Mrs. H discovered Walmart, and she kept disapearing to go on a shopping spree. Yes, we packed boxes to go home with them.
Some day, I hope to go to England and stay with Mrs. H and her husband. What great friends.
