My 1970 IH 2444 started leaking coolant. It's not leaking from the radiator, the hoses nor the water pump. But I see it streaming down a tube right below the alternator. This tube has a nut on the bottom, but I'm a little confused as to the problem. I guess the leak could be coming from the engine oil cooler, but I don't know what the problem could be nor do I know the purpose of*the 8 inch tube with a nut is at the end.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

The 8" tube is a coolant drain & I believe it is corroded inside & leaking. Probably around the threads at the top of the tube. Suggest replacing the tube.
