I have a 47 A with a WICO XH and have issues with a rotor....the new rotor I bought fits really loose on the shaft and was wondering if thats the norm? The tractor running pretty rough and thought maybe that was an issue, I found a new rotor that has wico written right on it and its much older that fits snug. I was also wondering if an A will run with the wries crossed?

It will sorta run with the wires crossed. Backfiring badly
Thanks, as long s I know the backfire part I know that my old/new rotor was too loose and the new/old wico one fits bette and the tractor runs very well now

My 48 B came with a Wico XH. If yours is like mine and has a 2 pointed rotor, then it looked like it could run with the wires switched. It was to give a spark on the low compression stroke for just a little extra push.
