Hello, I am going to pick up my 1973 John Deere 301A tomorrow. ( I hope ) The man I am buying it from, said that it has a new hydraulic pump on it. But it has to be primed and bled. Can someone let me know how I go about priming and bleeding the pump.? thank you very much. Any help at all will be appreciated.

I think i would get the seller to prime it and make sure it works. If me and it did not work, the deal would be off or at least re-negotiated.

Never heard of that. There's enough suction on the pump to pull fluid from the transmission case and it should also have a reservoir above it.
