I am at my wits end. I bought a 1958 John deere 420w. The hydraulic unit for the back of the tractor is there. But it does not have any place to hook up hydraulic lines. My John Deere dealer gave me a part number of A3613R for a fittings to go into the unit. The hoses can then be hooked up to those fittings.
Now, I looked up the part number and it shows a lever on the side of the unit that has something to do with hooking up the hoses. My unit does not have a lever on the side of the unit. I don't know what to do now? I don't know if they are the right fittings. Can some one out there please help me. I would appreciate it very much.

it does not have any place to hook up hydraulic lines

Take a look at the diagram below.

Note the body (breakaway coupling) Key 8 and all other required parts.
All of these parts are necessary for using remote hydraulics.
