Most of the time, when these were working tractors, the tags were left on the original cylinder block, if there was a replacement due to block damage or failure, and as far as I know Lon's estimation is spot on, but bear in mind electric start would have been rare in the war years. although we have an AR that number out to 1944 with electric start ??
