McCormick Deering Pauley 28x46 Thresher

I was wondering what tractor was used to power this thresher? Thanks for your help!

Here's a picture of the thresher. It is typical of the era. I know they were powerd by wheel tractors but I don't know what models etc.

Last one of those I saw operating was with an old steammer.

That has been my experience also, but I have seen pictures of wheel tractors running them.

you could ask the guys who are runnubg the steamers what power there engines have. then you can base your tractor selection on that thresher. yet i don't think it can be to much because our local club has a fairly large case steamer and i think we had a little smaller thresher than that but when they took the steamer off they put an old farmall F-20 on and it did ok.
