Once a month, on the lawn tractor, then at the end of the season when I take the deck off, I also do the trim mower. I like my blades sharp. 
I can cut at three quarters, rather than half speed with sharp blades, on the tractor. That cuts an hour off my mowing time, and still gets a good smooth cut.
Can't seem to get the push mower to go any faster though. :? :roll: Did I mention that I mow four acres weekly with my lawn tractor ?
The bush hog gets sharpened at the end of every season, when I put it away for the winter. And/or, when I try to get too close backing up, and hit a rock.
