Thank you! I gave 500 bucks for her but she needs work, we are all excited about that first fire up and hopefully its this spring!clampdaddy said:Nice looking A!
Thellie cant wait to hear that sound.....it technically is her tractor because of the hand clutch so both girls will have their own. Thanks for sharing that memory Bettybettyp said:Derick ,John Deere has a sound when running that no other tractor has . When we were on the farm and it was getting dark & Henry was still out on his John Derre 40 ,I could listen & tell here where he was . It has a sound that grows on you.
Are you sayin you cant get it out of your head???bikerdave said:Plow a two pop all day and listen to it all night!
Thanks, I always said I wanted one for the herd too but they were just too expensive for my budget. Then this one came along as a friend of a friend deal and i bought it without seeing it, the price was right no matter how i looked at it. It needs some crank/clutch drive work and when we go up next month I can get started on it. We are all excited because its our first Deere and its the model we wantedDC Snider said:Looks like a nice tractor Derick...I gotta find one of those to add to my herd someday.

Reminds me of when I'd bury the cultivator behind my dads MT when he wasn't looking just to get some of those sweet, hard workin' pops out of it. I knew better than to get caught because dad wouldn't tolerate equipment abuse. Funny thing is that a few months ago I pulled up to my dads place and caught him dragging a scraper behind my model A that was to big to begin with, plus dirt was boiling over the top. He just grinned at me from the seat and said "the hydraulics work real good on your tractor". Just like a kid that got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and was trying to change the subject. :lol:JamieJ said:........Nothing like putting her in 5th gear and letting her chug up the hill while rattling the neighbor's windows.![]()
