On my bucket list. May seem trivial, but I'm willin' to bet folks have, just to do it.
Maybe next trip to Deltona, Fl to visit my sister, if I find time.
Go to the east coast and watch the sun rise over the ocean, then sight see across to the west coast,
and watch it set over the ocean, the same day.
Hoping it will be as spectacular as that one.
Just something you can't do in Kentucky.

Dave, NC has some unique beaches. The southern most ones face south towards the ocean as opposed to facing east towards the ocean. The sun rises and sets over the water at these beaches.

Me too Betty, For years we would take the kids to the outer banks on vacation. Rent the house etc. Sure do miss those days.

Mike that reminds me of the time we took the boys (all 4) to the beach for the first time . When A wave came and splased water in my 3 yearolds mout he sais sugar mama sugar mama . I said it is salt , he would for a long time get sugar & salt mix up. Fond memories.

We have four too but mine were three girls and one boy. Boy had it pretty rough. What they would do to him!!! Now have 5 beautiful grandkids!!

I love the Outer Banks and Oak Island...plannin' a little getaway down to Oak Island in a few weeks!

Have fun and enjoy every minute of it . Very hard for me to walk on the beach since i brke both hips & had reolacement in rght hip.
