Yes, nice wagon. We have one here in Independence that came across the plains to Oregon on the Oregon trail. In 1959 it was rebuilt for the Oregon Bicentennial trek and then I was part of the 1976 U. S. Bicentennial Independence Mo. to Independence Or. trek. I had a pair of oxen that made the trip from the eastern Oregon border to Independence Or....James

Yes, 2 oxen. From the Oregon-Idaho border to Independence Or, about 500 miles. I was 20 years old and had 1 good hand, I had cut my fingers and the palm of my hand badly and had surgery May 3rd to reattach the tendons in 3 fingers. My wife followed along, removed the stitches and did the physical therapy on my hand every night. I was in a lot of pain and I guess the medication has kept me from remembering the bad parts, it WAS a lot of fun. The second picture is Sweetie, her brother and 3 kids and the 2 oxen in yoke. I think I lost more weight than both oxen  ....James
