A 1992 Dodge 250 Cummins diesel 4wd. I remember someone describing this as a Teddy Roosevelt truck. He went on to say it was a "rough rider". It rides fairly well idf you are over 60 mph. It only hits the high spots in the road then. Mrs. Jim used to enjoy driving it to school. She said she made heads tun when folks heard it rumble into the parking lot. :lol:

We use for that Betty. The cover comes in handy especially if it happens to rain.

As far as I know it is stock. We had to have the injection pump rebuilt, and about a year ago the rear main engine seal was replaced. Other than that, drive and bounce :!: :lol:

180k miles? Heck that isn't even broke in! Turning the pump up would make an unbelievable difference in power and driving. Some say they get better mileage with that.

I have thought about trying that, but have been advised against it. I sure don't need to be using any more fuel than necessary these days :!: :?

From personal experience its better mileage. I just adjusted the pump 1 turn and bumped the timing. And got gauges

for better milage try a high flow air filter guy i know hauls trailers claims factory filter restricts them swears he gets 25 percent better milage

Nice lookin' Dodge Mr. Jim...I like the older body styles, back when trucks still had vent windows, real chrome, and straight axles!

My 2003 double cab long box rides extremely well for it's capabilities!!! The 22 + feet of length may help. I do know that it is very capable of PULL!

This is a 2500 D with a 6 cyl! Cummins 5.9 24 valve with a slight amount of enthuasism added; not much just a diablo variable chip.

I pulled west from ND to Portland OR; with a heavy loaded pickup and trailer (32.5 Travel trailer double slide out) loaded as a moving van. The pickup cab was also full down to a 1 person ride, cab height topper was also very full,--- never even wimpered!

So Let them ride a little rough THEY ARE NOT CARS!
