Does anyone know anything about the DR2500CA Timbren Rear suspension helpers?

Answer appreciated. I have gone from an equalier hitch system to a fifth wheel; so truck takes all of the front weight/

Are these as good as air bags? I know they are a lot lees hassle.

Doesnt look like they are attached to the axle, more like a bump stop than anything to me. Id be worried that the bottom could somehow slip out? Or am I looking at them wrong?
