The gauge wheels on my 535 John Deere round baler leak air and I'm always having to air them up.
Can anybody give me a good reason why I shouldn't foam the gauge wheels solid on the 535, beside making the rims a pain to put new tires on several years from now?

That would be the only reason I could think of. Might make them wear quicker though. ;)

Foam wheels do flex, although not as much, the ride is definitely rougher you can run the tires until they come apart and the stuff comes out though. I would not think they would be hard to replace at that point. At work they replace rim and all though so it may not be possible.
