Good evening,I’ve started a new job. They have this ford 2000 tractor with some of the electric wiring burn. I really would like to get it running again. Any information would be great TIA —Walt

Hello Walt and Welcome.
What you posted are casting numbers. The serial number will be hand stamped.
This link will tell where to find the serial numbers on both series of model 2000 tractors.

TractorData.com Ford 2000 tractor information

There should be three rows of numbers stamped on a flat spot above the starter.
The serial number will be the one stamped between diamond shapes.
You may have to scrape paint to find it if the tractor has been repainted.

Thank you for the info Dave. I will look for the plate. As I read what u sent it might not be there 🤦‍♂️. It will make it more challenging. Do you know how to read the casting numbers? This is very interesting to me. I found a chart on a site and I cannot make heads or tails of it.
thanks
Walt

There won't be a data plate. The numbers will be stamped in the cast.
No, I never had that information on casting numbers. Someone here may though.
