I have a JD 327 baler in real good shape, and am considering putting hyraulic bale tensioners on. But before I do, perhaps a few inquiries. I do custom baling, so each fieldis different, and even within a field can be quite different (as I'm sure you all know). My goal is to have consistent bale sizes, and was wondering if hyraulic tensions "make it so".

Hydraulic tensioners give you a good average weight but they don't make any difference to the length of the bale, the measuring wheel does that.

Yes, I should have been more specific ... I was looking at weight and density, not length. Thanks for your input
