Well I went to a acreage auction because my roomate needs a new car, she needed me to give my "farm mechanic opinion" on it so I didnt ask many questions about the sale just went along......
But I was pleased to see 3 older tractors all not running IH W6, Case 730, but the one that caught my eye Minnie R
Its a 1939 model, no PTO good tin fair tires, poor repaint job, and I guess a starter that would have been added on after the fact.

and a movie, city girl, her first tractor ride

quesion though, am I missing rear fenders or did they come with any?

Oh yes of. Course, 800. It sold as. Not running so that was enough. I did set. My limit. At 700, but I had the trailer with me already and the guy. Bidding against me looked like a jerk

$800 aint a bad price. Now just get a set of fenders and get her running!!!!!!
If the starter was an add on It should be painted black I believe :?:

Yeah starter should be black. On the Minnie Standards at least through the dealerships the fenders were optional. I cant imagine purchasing a standard without them when they were new. However i am not well versed with the model R. The U series and G series at one time pretty well dominated the sales in the area i was raised and i have never seen a standard without fenders of one type or another. None of my books show a starter until after the war. Not saying they weren't availible, just dont have the info on pre war moline starters. Whats the SN and do You have a foto of the left side?

Actually already running, if you click on the third picture it is a movie, actually sounds quite well to my untrained ear
