Come out and support your local farmers.Don't have to drive 40 miles to make a deal you can deal right here at this swap meet where prices are great if you are buying saleing or trading bring your chickens, ducks, peacocks, pigeons, doves, goose, geese. Goslings, rabbits, baby goats, grown goats, game chickens, quail, or anything else I forgot to mention. This swap draws buyers & sellers from several counties here in KY. JR...I am still up in the air about coming because it is going to be so hot and I have to get all my birds squared away before I could go. But I have 3 Silkie babies available, Belgian d'Anver cockerels Mille Fleur, Orpingtons BBS, Orp crosses (all from my Easter Hatch).

I know and the heat on them will be bad. haven't several who has asked to come real early trying to beat the heat. would say by 10 it be over

I tell you what...it was rough going today. I just checked on everyone in my coops a few mins ago and they are still a bit warm...with fans even. Today my hubby build a military camo net shelter for shade and I spent the day running ice out to waterers and had fans blowing over ice...poor babies were miserable. I am kicking myself now for putting my coops where I did...but only had certain area I could put them and none of which have any decent shade. So looks like major tree planting is gonna happen here soon.

Good luck ion the morning and I am praying for all of our flocks. I lost 14 birds in one day last to the heat and I am determined to not have a repeat so am doing everything humanly possible this time around.
