drug this home last week. the stones arent broken. hopefully good enough to dress. all moving parts are in good order. my plan is to restore the mill and would like to find an old IH hit and miss coupled to a gear reduction box similar to one that would have been used on an old horse power to run it. all set on a "dedicated" utility trailer. im scouting out a lumber mill to cut the wood for this and the cider press. i would like this little critter to also be useable. as far as i can find out by type of bolts/nuts, carpentry work and what VERY LITTLE knowledge i have of mills this was built around the 1870's.

the image below im guessing was a type of auger to feed the wheat/corn between the stones

leaving it with the original wood would be neat. in my opinion id rather get the old girl up and running again. better that having it as "yard art" and rotting away
