Hello, does anybody out there know of a company that makes a 3 point conversion kit for a 1949 john deere model M tractor?

No, but a good welder should be able to make one.

Take a look at the photo below of "Sparky" our 51M.

It is a very simple design.

We had a welder build three more for out three MTs.

I can provide measurements if necessary.

Hope this helps.

does the adjustable top link interfere with the seat frame when lifted?

Since our 51M has a belt pulley, a top link has never been used.

However, the top link has never been an issue with any of our MTs.

Pure speculation on my part, but unless the seat frame is positioned too far back towards the implement, the top link should not interfere with the seat frame.

Hope this helps.

James that is a neat rig on the MT. Glad my Grandaddy had a 40S though.

James here is "June". My Grandaddy's given name was Junius. Everyone called him June. I was with him when he bought it.

On "Mac" our 51MT, the chains are appoximately 15".

The chains and connecting links are approximately 17".

The chains and connecting links are approximately 17".

Hope this helps.

does the M series use a voltage regulator or a generator cut out switch

The M series uses a cut-out relay.

Take a look at the GAUGES, SWITCH, AND CUT-OUT RELAY illustration below.
