On the last week-end of October(last week-end) we held out annual Old Machinery Rally here on the Darling Downs at Oakey. Weather was moderately warm at 32 deg C and quite a good turnout. Our feature was American machinery of any type with the empaths on John Deere's 100 year anniversary. I took along my 4040 with the Case C Model on the trailer behind and about an hour's drive to get there on our country roads. I will load some more soon.
Photo details as follows:
#1036 - Leaving home with Case C Model in tow
#1038 My 4040 parked with a very tidy 5020 and model 40
#1045 1938 Model AR
#1042 - Sign - 2018 - 100 Years Of John Deere Tractors. Zoom in on this for some interesting reading!
#1046 - Model L Industrial
#1048 - Model A Rowcrop & MC Crawler
#1053 - Model AR & John Deere Lanz dozer
#1080 - Lined up and running waiting for the parade to start
#1082 - John Deere tractor line-up

The Kenworth with the Cat dozer is an interesting creation. The dozer is powered by a 2 cyl petrol lawnmower engine, driving through 2 hydrostatic mower transmissions, heavy chain final drive reductions and the track undercarriage appears to be from a compact excavator. The rear winch is powered by drive shaft and has a log arch to pull behind. Both the dozer and truck can be driven from their seats (The seat on the Kenworth is in the sleeper cab)

Some photos on the way home

These photos were taken en-route back home from Oakey to Gowrie Junction on our country roads. This area I am driving through has some very good and friable cropping soils.
