Traded in "Old Blue".

After 15 years of service, the hydrostatic transmission started to go in the old New Holland LS-55. Plus, switching off the mower deck and the snow blade is a piece of cake on the new Kubota 2020 plus the all-wheel drive and power steering is going to be really nice on our hilly and tree-filled back yard.

That's a nice looking Kubota. Is it gas or diesel?
I bought the gas one. It was about $1000 less and only 1 hp less. It also a lot quieter and I don't mow for long periods of time so the diesel didn't make any sense.

Cool. How much grass do have to cut?
Not near enough to justify a 48" mower deck. But then again, I keep an Oliver 88 RC under the back deck to keep things in perspective. . . . . . . (-:

That dose not sound like a lot. I have a JD 318 with a 50" deck, and could use a bigger one.
Nice looking lawn tractor. :D You all got snow :?
I might have to try one with all wheel drive when my Husqvarna gives up. ;)
Thats a good looking mower you bought and if thats the blade you got in the first picture sure does look a lot more user friendly than the older ones. Your going to love that power steering to, I kind of chuckled the first time I saw it on a mower and then I drove one later and it is nice. Just looking at the picture and wondering did you trade at northside in richmond?
Yes Gordon, I traded at Northside. They gave me about double the trade in on the old tractor and were a lot cheaper than the Lexington dealer, plus they had one in stock. I also got the mulching attachment for the deck so it now doesn't have the deflector sticking out since there's no side discharge. I've only mulched a little bit with it to finish the job I was doing when the transmission went out in the old one but it was kind of like mowing with a Porsche.

I tried out the Kubota GR2020 with it's snow blade yesterday. The tractor has the same size rear tires as the old New Holland but I thought I'd try out the all-wheel drive without chains. It cleared all the snow and never spun a tire. It handles like a dream!
Makes a person feel better spending the money when things go like they're suppose to. :D
