I dont have new style kids....they dont own a video game....they own IMAGINATIONS ;) :D
There are still kids with imaginations??? Thats good to hear!! :p The other day I was walking threw the toy dept at Wal-Mart (I'm still a kid at heart) and saw a kid playing with all them push button toys that make all the noise and flash the lights and I got to thinking on how i used to play with my toys. I had to make my own noise!! :? I would even get small lights from hobby stores or from what I may have taken apart and wire them up with 9 volt battery.... Now I understand why kids are so BORED all the time. The toy company took their imaginations from them!! :?
yep.. i'd get toys, take them apart and make new ones.. :)

They have their fair share of toys and both are computer proficient for their ages but both enjoy being outside playing or reading or writing more.....heck they even love planting flowers and veggies with us! I am documenting all of this just in case they dont someday ;) That way i'll always have the memories :D
"The toy company took their imaginations from them."

Thats total bull and most people know it is. Just how long do you thing the toy company would make that stuff if adults didn't buy the junk for the kids? Buy the kids books and the low tec toys like the china made ertel toys and most have the imaginations to have fun. My grand kids do I know that. The oldest (13) used to read a ton of books a week. We along with mom and dad bought her a Kindle touch for Xmas. She has almost 2700 books in arcives she has already read, it goes to all her swim meets unlike most who have MP'3s for slack time. I've had mine over a year and don't have 1000 books read yet.
Problem with out door toys today are the creeps and pedifiles. You have to stand over the kids who play out side today to keep them safe. Isn't like when I was a kid and we could jump on our bicycles with our ball mitts and bats and ride a mile and a half to the nearest ball field for a game with out our parnats worrying.

My truck could use a good wash and even a bit of wax. What do your girls charge in candy that is? Are they by the pound or by the piece?
How are they on detailing the insides?

:D Al
