seems to me seat should be more to the left to access clutch pedal easier. is there a remedy for this, or a live with it quietly deal what's everyone else doing?

you do have the hand clutch but I never saw the seat placement a problem

not sure how to use the hand clutch, haven't tried it yet? any suggestions for first time useage?

I can't speak to an Allis, but I have used a Farmall H with a M&W hand clutch while baling hay. I simply worked the hand clutch lever much like I would with a foot pedal, but the hand clutch would disengage the tractor movement while the pto remained in gear. It was as if the tractor had a live pto.

The hand clutch is your friend on a WD series tractor! You need a longer left leg for the foot clutch! There are a couple things that could help. The seat can be moved over a few inches to the left with a plate added under the seat support/ seat. Also the foot clutch can be adjusted out ward to make it easier to reach if your not 6'-2" tall.
