Never saw a set before, but if you are like me, you are alway wrestling with the chains in about 6" of snow, cussin' and carrying on for not putting them on before. Sure would be handy.to many irons said:

i have no idea how old they are .
So this is for repairing broken chains ?? Now, that makes more sense. I couldn't see how to use them to install...Farquharsen said:Yes I have a set, newer though. The pincer side is used for opening the cross chain so that it can be replaced when broken. The the other side closes it.
