Well if yall know me, (if your new might not, havent spent much time on the new forum) You know im a Farmall man from the day born, its always been in the family with my grandfather a IH manager of a plant, and him working there for over 40 years! Well i got a job close to my college, playing mechanic, working on cat backhoes, and the companies fleet of mowing tractors. The owner who hired me also likes to fix and resell which ive been doing for him also, he also has quite a JD collection that he has me service. Now enough of the cow poop and onto the point

He has a JD A, all there no dents or rust anywhere even tho the paint aint that pretty, the guy he bought it off of said he put new pistons, rings etc into it ran it for 10 hrs parked it for 2 years and it was froze when he came back to it, my boss paid $500 for it and it even has nice rubber. Its one of his lower projects on the list of 14 JD's and he is thinking of parting with it. Im thinking about buying it cause im pretty sure he would sell to me with what he has into it. $500 plus what he has in diesel to pick up. I think it would be a great tractor to fix up, to be honest i LOVE that 2cyl sound!

ill get pics tomorrow and yall can tell me what you think... Its a long hood slant dash think he said later 40's model

Love it. I have a friend that has nothing but Allis Chalmers. He buys a different brand from time to time to fix up and sell and won't park them on his farm. He keeps them down the road, so nobody knows they are his.LOL.

You didn't tell us what year this A JD is. Is it styled or not? Are we to assume it is a commercial Deere or a Farm Deere?

Nothing runs like a Deere (when it is running).

Remember JD stands for 'Just Dollars'.

We love pictures!!!
