One grower here wanted to start next week, but beginning Sunday we are predicted to have several days with a good chance of rain, over 50%. The wheat is already diseasing up, so this will not help. The risk of being laid down is also a problem. He is planning to plant beans afterward the harvest. It is hard to get a break this year.

Would love to see some pictures if anybody gets a chance. Grains like that have always fascinated me and I think that they would be fun to try and grow/harvest... but the area around us is pretty much full of tobacco, hay, corn, and a few veggie farms... so the others are not something that we get to see much of. Have to agree with this years weather, I hate to hear its hitting everybody else like it is us.

Reminds me of that great DVD, Custom Cutters, what a sight that was.
