Wheels for WC

How hard is it to find stamped steel wheels for the 6 bolt WC's? I need to lose the cast centers and go lighter...should I just have someone weld in a bolt patten ring on a pair of 28 inch rims and get it over with?

Why not? I really dont have the weights and equipment to load it up to 3750....no 3500lb class so its either 3000 or 3750....at our place 3750 makes me run against 6 cylinder Olivers...not a great move :D
Were it me I would give up on the stamped steel centers. I would have been looking for the spoked ones and probably had better luck. Either would do, the round rod type or the flat strap steel ones.

:D Al
Good point. If I recall correctly, F-20 round spokes will fit. You may have to google that one though

My first year pulling I went 239 and the Ollie went 276 easy
The repeat pullers at 3000lbs are a ollie 66, two other Wc's, and a Super C Farmall
yeah i pulled my wd45 last year in 4500lbs class and didn't do to good
Derick, they did make stamped steel wheels for the WC, we have a set on the RC. Seem to be some around still and they weight about 50# each!

Been trying to locate some but with no luck I decided to have centers made and welded in so I can get it ready for this year
