Sunday was the most glorious day here so we went to our favourite seaside town of Whitby. Quaint how they built the fishermens houses into the hillside..




and there's always the old Abbey ruins and church 199 steps to the top



snickleways to be explored


and street entertainers to watch

It would be a neat place to visit and looks like it was a complicated design and engineering feat to get such a large number of homes in such a small space. Thanks for posting. :D

I watch Heartbeat and they are always mentioning Whitby, I thought it was a fictitious place like Aidensfield.

They are beautiful photos of very different type of arcitecture to what we are used to down here,since the quakes we do not
have many buildings left,you must have had a lovely day Shelly.
