Sunday was the most glorious day here so we went to our favourite seaside town of Whitby. Quaint how they built the fishermens houses into the hillside..

and there's always the old Abbey ruins and church 199 steps to the top

snickleways to be explored

and street entertainers to watch

I was in Whitby in the early 60's, unfortunately my car broke down and we had to catch the bus and train home

I watch Heartbeat and they are always mentioning Whitby, I thought it was a fictitious place like Aidensfield.
