The deer already have their winter coats. They're darker and earlier tan I have ever seen. Farmers almanac is calling for a rough winter with cold and precipitation. Hope they're wrong

An early prediction for us is to have big cold and warm swings in temperatures. It was described as a "roller coaster" winter. Hope some moisture comes with it. We shall see.

I haven't even thought of Winter yet.
Today starts Autumn, and I'm still waiting on some temperatures to reflect that.
An overcast misty drizzle day would be a blessing.
I did see my first two woolly worms a few days ago while I was trimming the seed tops off the crabgrass along my lane.
Both had just black tips.... A mild Winter, or just effects from the hot dry Summer???
